History of Primmersdorf manor
General description of the manor
Description of the apartment
The manor is located in the north of austria close to the Czech Republic in
between the two towns Drosendorf and Raabs. When approaching from the City of Vienna it
takes 1½ hours to get there. A document dated 1251 describes „Primeysdorf“
as one in a chain of castles defending the border against bohemian aggressors.
The engraving on top of this page is dated 1672 and shows an estate before
in 1724 it has been rebuilt as a manor including a chapel by the later owner – the monastery of
Herzogenburg.
